Sports Massage

Designed for highly active and mobile individuals that are muscle specific and goal oriented to achieve performance based outcomes for improved mobility and functionality while decreasing muscle tension, fascial adhesions, and scar tissue along with pain and discomfort.

NOT just for the typical "athlete." Anyone and everyone can receive a Sports Massage and benefit from the techniques with quicker results compared to a therapeutic massage.

Includes IASTM work, assisted stretching, cupping therapy, cryotherapy, kinesiotaping, and a wide range of sports and medical based massage techniques.

Therapeutic or Relaxation Massage

Using light, moderate, or deep pressured effleurage strokes in the same direction of the lymphatic system to assist in circulatory function and deepen relaxation by softening the tissues and calming the nervous system.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

A light pressured manual manipulation of the skin to encourage drainage of the lymph system, which carries waste away from the tissues back towards the heart.

Deep Tissue

Utilizing techniques to affect deeper tissues in the body such as muscle and fascia to resolve adhesions and trigger points.

Deep Tissue in LUDUS Sports Massage does not mean more pressure. While more pressure needs to be applied to access the deep muscles, massage therapists in your session will evaluate and assess your body's response to the massage and work through each layer of tissue to prevent inflammation, spasming, or any other negative response while working towards the deep muscles.

Includes cupping therapy and light assisted stretching.

Pre&Post Natal Massage

Safe and effective therapeutic massage for expectant mothers. This full body massage is designed to promote health, improve circulation, flexibility, range of motion, and overall health of mother and baby.

Youth Athlete Massage

It's no secret. Children aren't as resilient as we think. In fact, they are more prone to injuries and creating muscular and skeletal dysfunctions for the future than adults. This is due to their undeveloped bodies. Youth massage allows pediatric clients the bodily awareness they need to assess their injuries and better prevent them while promoting body confidence and increased performance in youth athletics, better focus and sleep.

Our Favorite Techniques

IASTM

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization used to treat soft tissue injuries by using tools, such as wood, stone, or metal. The therapist creates a controlled micro-trauma response to the localized area to stimulate the body's natural healing process. This has many benefits including breaking down scar tissue.

PNF

Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation is an assistive stretching technique that involves alternating contractions and relaxations of muscles to enhance elasticity and range of motion.

ART

The Active Release Technique is much like PNF where the therapist will apply  pressure and stretching while guiding the client through specific movement to engage muscles and encourage tension relief.
